Monsters of all ages are invited to ScienceWorks’ annual Monster Ball, a Halloween celebration full of creativity, community, and spooky fun! The museum transforms into a festive playground with hands-on activities, crafts, workshops, performances, and more. Come dressed in your most imaginative costume and enter the contest, judged by theatre costume pros from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Held in memory of Sarah Wood, a local teen who loved Halloween, Monster Ball is a joyful tradition that brings our community together for a night of wonder, play, and just the right amount of fright.

The Silent Auction is open for bidding! Explore an incredible lineup of packages thanks to our generous community partners — from wine tastings and cozy getaways in Gold Beach and Ashland, to an original print by local artist Betty LaDuke, family-friendly activity packages, and a river adventure!

Cleaning Week at ScienceWorks

It’s been a big week behind the scenes at ScienceWorks. From October 1 to 5, the museum was closed to the public for our annual Cleaning Week.
