Join ScienceWorks in the park after the 4th of July parade for bubbles, lawn games, and hands-on fun for all ages! We’ll be set up near the Butler-Perozzi Fountain in Lithia Park with playful activities to keep the celebration going. Bring your curiosity (and maybe a picnic blanket) and enjoy a joyful afternoon in the heart of Ashland.

July STEAM Social: Burning to Learn

Get fired up for Burning to Learn, our July STEAM Social spotlighting the work of Southern Oregon Forest Restoration Collaborative (SOFRC). Explore wildfire science through art, hands-on activities, and expert talks.

 

Create your own watercolor fire triangle in Blaze & Brush, build a free DIY air filter, and enjoy a short film and presentation with wildfire educators. This event also supports the Fire Education for All campaign, funding local fire ecology and ITEK programs for K–12 students.

Creative Dance for Children

Fridays in July & August


We’re teaming up with Creative Dance for Children to offer joyful movement classes for kids 7 and under, Fridays from July 11 to August 29. Held in our colorful Pacific Crest Cove, classes are $10–15 drop-in or $68–100 for the series. Member discounts available! Register at CreativeDance.me

Filmmaker Ian Cheney brings scientists, artists, and a hunter to unknown locations and asks them to describe what they see. What unfolds is a deep exploration and celebration of the power of observation: what happens when you find new ways to sense & perceive the world around you?
