Experience the Elements of Winemaking at The Science of Wine!
April 27, 2019  6-8 PM

Each drop of wine tells a story, from growing and harvesting to fermentation and bottling. Everything the grape endures — sun, rain, snow, wind, heat and cold — influences wine and how it transforms from a fruit on the vine to a vibrant, aromatic libation.

At the Science of Wine fundraiser gala, you will participate in an exclusive opportunity to examine the phenomena of wine in a new way, with taste tours through genetics, climate, technology, and biology led by regional experts. Education stations placed throughout ScienceWorks will guide you on a delicious journey. You will uncover the elements that build our sensory perception of wine and discover how each of these pieces impacts your unique experience.

As a hub for creativity and innovation, ScienceWorks has big plans for the future. The evening culminates with an unveiling of the new community vision for ScienceWorks as the center for next-generation science engagement for all ages in Southern Oregon, and as a showcase for sustainable innovation in STEM fields from the Rogue Valley. We are excited to share our vision with the community and hope you will support us in making these dreams a reality through participation in a paddle raise.

Doors open at 5:45 pm. Wine Education tours begin at 6 pm. Presentation and paddle raise at 7:30 pm.

Join us for this opportunity to fund creativity and innovation in our community! Space is limited. Please contact ana@scienceworksmuseum.org for more information.
