Learn with ScienceWorks
ScienceWorks offers a variety of educational programming for schools, homeschool groups, and adults.
Field Trips & Museum Visits
Field trips and museum visits are available Tuesday through Friday, during the entire school year.
Field trips consist of an orientation, a ScienceLIVE! demonstration, NGSS-aligned ScienceWorks instructor-led classroom lab, free exploration time for student in the Museum, and a end-of-visit wrap up session.
Museum visits allow your group free exploration of the museum and participate in any public programming.
Bring ScienceWorks to your school, organization, or event! Offsite outreach is available in many forms, including ScienceLIVE! shows, Mission: POSSIBLE!, and extended classroom labs.
School's out but camp is in session! ScienceWorks' Science Camps take place during Spring and Summer breaks, and allow your young scientists to explore, make new friends, and learn new things in a supportive learning environment.
We offer Educator professional development opportunities such as Next Generation Science Standards implementation workshops and inquiry science methodology. Educators and teachers can also access unique lending libraries to augment their class' post-field trip or outreach experience.
Our Teacher Resource Library contains kits of educational materials and lesson plans.
The Telescope Lending program enables educators and members to borrow a variety of telescopes after a training session.
