When we receive new guidance on pandemic health and safety rules, we may adjust our policies. Thank you for your understanding during this time.
ScienceWorks is OPEN. Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. We are closed Monday and Tuesday.
As of March 19th face masks are optional to be worn indoors, so long as Jackson county stays within the low to medium risk range. ScienceWorks will continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC and state health authorities. Please bring your own masks.
Due to the nature of epidemiology and research, these policies are subject to change at any time. We will change our policies and practices when needed, depending on guidance from the CDC and State of Oregon. We are doing everything we can to make ScienceWorks fun and safe for everyone. Thank you for sharing the responsibility.
We are cleaning more frequently and thoroughly than during non-pandemic times. You will notice extra hand sanitizer stations available for visitors. We encourage visitors, staff, and volunteers to wash hands and use sanitizer frequently. We will also clean between visitor groups.
ScienceWorks will provide helpful markings and signs to help visitors maintain physical distancing. Please observe posted instructions to limit grouping at exhibits. Please keep children with your group.
No, we will not check your temperature at the door. We do ask that if you have symptoms of illness, or think you have been exposed to COVID-19, please do not visit at this time.
No. Due to public health and safety concerns, the Bubble Room will be closed for now. We will reopen the Bubble Room in a different format in the future.
Yes, we will have summer camps! To make camp as safe and fun as possible, we are limiting enrollment to 10 campers per group. We will modify activities to allow for physical distancing, limit shared materials, and increase cleaning frequency. Get more information about our camps here.
At this time, we are currently accepting Birthday party reservations: https://scienceworksmuseum.org/birthday-parties/ for more info.
Due to the pandemic, we have temporarily suspended our special events, including the Science of Wine, Exposed series, and Pub Talks. We look forward to resuming these programs as soon as we can do so safely.
