Solar Powered Nursery
Solar Panels for Nursery

Our outdoor dome has been converted into a Solar Powered Nursery.
It is home to plants used by the Lomakatsi Restoration Project.  The watering system was installed by Paul Kay, local water quality specialist and educator. Click here to see more images and learn how the system turns sunshine into electricity!

Weather Station at ScienceWorks

ScienceWorks Weather Station

ScienceWorks has its own weather station, operated by Greg Jones, a climatologist from Southern Oregon University.  The 33-foot meteorological tower gets real-time readings of everything temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, dew point, rainfall, solar radiation, cloud base and much more.  All of this data is recorded and presented in real time.

Click here to see our current weather conditions!

Here is an article from the Ashland Daily Tidings describing our weather station and how it contributes to the regional weather scene.
