Illuminating Science Inquiry (Intermediate Grades)
Entering into its 8th year, the Illuminating Science Inquiry program gives teachers the opportunity to see science inquiry at work in their classrooms. Over 4 days, a ScienceWorks instructor will walk their students (up to 4 classes per school may participate) through all of the steps of doing science inquiry. Students will produce a science inquiry work sample that can be scored by the end of the week. Teachers will be given a binder with additional lessons that follow the same format. Classes are available in the following subject areas: Life, Physical or Earth and Space Science. (Note: instructional materials are available in Spanish and English)
This program has become very popular and the calendar fills up quickly. Please book soon for best availability.
Cost: $750-$375 (ESD subsidy) = $375 + mileage (Mileage will be added at standard ESD rates for all programs.) Note: Illuminating Science Inquiry may be paid for with "staff development funds" as it is a staff development workshop. For more information on this program, please contact
