ScienceWorks and Tree Frog Treks tn_Boys_and_snake.jpg
Tree Frog Treks, from San Francisco, CA, will be setting up camp outside ScienceWorks the week of August 18 - 22nd. Tree Frog Treks is about making science fun, connecting with nature and exercising one’s imagination. It is about holding live rescued reptiles and amphibians like Buddy the Iguana and  Ivana the Tortoise, examining amazing specimens like a musk ox head or giant emu legs, doing hands-on science and art projects and getting out and getting dirty while exploring nature.  By taking students out of the conventional classroom and bringing them into contact with the nature in their own back yard, Tree Frog Treks aims for students to have better retention and develop a new-found enthusiasm for learning.
